For those of you who do not know it, in Mike’s “spare” time, he builds custom guitars and currently has a patent pending on a new guitar style. Friday the 13th
The Horror series continues! This piece was created for Russ. He wanted to commemorate the classic film on his guitar.
Matt’s Warbird
Mike LOVES creating authentic warbird designs. This Messerschmidt BF109 was created for Matt Ash and transformed his Jackson into a piece of history!
Geiger-Style SciFi Skull
This job was done for a customer named Lee. He was looking for something eye catching, colorful with a SciFi flair to it. I think Mike hit this one out of the park! It is certainly stunning and can be seen from across the room. Check it out!
Creature from the Black Lagoon
Here is another guitar in the series of “Old Horror Movie Posters.” Honestly I have lost count of these and will need to make a note to create a gallery post that features all of these very popular paint jobs. For now, check these out:
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
This guitar, completed for a customer overseas, has some really amazing murals. The customer gave Mike some general direction, but he was free to work his interpretation into the piece. (PS. This method produces the most amazing murals! LOL). Check out the finished product.
Les Paul Project
Mike just finished the re-assembly of this Les Paul project. This guitar came in from Brian in Florida. Mike removed the pick guard, filled the holes and refinished it in a gloss white base with monochromatic airbrush work. This is one of my very favorite paint jobs! (originally posted 10/2010)

Suicide Samurai Warrior Guitars
I have been working with the Jackson Custom shop since 2003. The projects they send me are generally a lot of fun because the Jackson guys really allow me full creative control. As a life long guitar player and enthusiast myself, I am very familiar with Jackson’s branding and I am able to work within […]Read More
